Observed employees to be washing hands for less than 10 seconds. Proper handwashing procedure is to rinse hands with warm water, scrub with soap for 10-15 seconds, rinse with warm water, dry with new single-use paper towel. Entire process should take approximately 20 seconds for full and proper handwashing to prevent spread of bacteria and contamination. Discussed with Person in Charge (PIC) to have employees use proper hand washing procedures.

Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
