This establishment received a(n) A Grade and had 0 Priority, 0 Priority Foundation violations on this inspection. *The ambient air temperature of the reach in cooler was fluctuating between 44-46F. The food items were 43-44F. The PIC called to have the unit scheduled for maintenance and/or repair today to ensure that the unit is properly functioning at 41F or below. Core-2-102.12(A), C: Certified Food Protection Manager----The PIC is not a certified food protection manager. Maricopa County requires all establishments that serve open food, which requires time/temperature control for food safety, to have at least one certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on staff. The Person in Charge shall be a CFPM and is required to be onsite during the hours of operation. This certificate must be visible or readily accessible and kept at the establishment for all inspections. To obtain a CFPM Certificate, you must pass an exam administered by an ANSI-Accredited provider. Provided the PIC with CFPM information. Emailed the inspection report. e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
