Also observed the ceiling tiles in the back storage room to be made of acoustic material. Please replace all ceiling tiles with washable, painted/ plastic tiles prior to next routine inspection. Please also paint all exposed wood and concrete in the back room (or replace with a cleanable material) with a semi or high gloss paint to render the surfaces smooth & easily cleanable prior to next routine inspection. Floors, walls, ceilings and fixtures shall be designed, constructed, installed and maintained so they are smooth, easily cleanable, durable and non-absorbent.

Due to COVID-19 concerns a signature was not obtained from the operator during this inspection. The inspector verbally reviewed the establishment's inspection rights with the person in charge (Jill F.) and delivered a copy of their inspection rights with the inspection report. This establishment received a B Grade and had 0 Priority, 1 Priority Foundation and 5 Core violations on this inspection. No County legal action will result from this inspection. 2-102.12(A), C – Certified Food Protection Manager - No employee with supervisory and management responsibility with the authority to direct and control food preparation that is deemed a certified food protection manager. - PIC was unsure if anyone employed at this establishment is a Certified Food Manager. Please have an owner, manager or employee obtain a Food Manager Certification Prior to next routine inspection. Inspection report delivered via email.

Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
