PIC stated that all areas would be cleaned. Ensure that physical facility is cleaned as frequently as necessary. Core-6-501.11, C: Repairing-Premises, Structures, Attachments, and Fixtures-Methods-----The cabinets next to the three compartment sink are in disrepair and have exposed particle board. Ensure that the cabinets are repaired properly to a smooth and easily cleanable surface.

Core-2-102.12(A), C: Certified Food Protection Manager----The PIC is not a certified food protection manager. Maricopa County requires all establishments that serve open food, which requires time/temperature control for food safety, to have at least one certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on staff. The Person in Charge shall be a CFPM and is required to be onsite during the hours of operation. This certificate must be visible or readily accessible and kept at the establishment for all inspections. To obtain a CFPM Certificate, you must pass an exam administered by an ANSI-Accredited provider. Emailed the inspection report. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
