Discussed with person in charge (PIC) that paper towels must be always available at handwashing sink. PIC restocked single-use paper towels. Discussed importance of providing hand drying provision to ensure proper hand washing with the PIC.

Core-6-202.15, C: Outer Openings, Protected - Observed gap under the door to the exterior from the kitchen allowing visible light to pass through from the exterior. Observed gap under door and one of the sides of the door to the exterior allowing visible light to pass through at the exterior door to near the bathroom. Outer openings must be protected from the exterior at all times to prevent the entrance of pests. Please correct/repair prior to next routine inspection.

Discussed that ice used as an exterior cooling may not be used as an ingredient as the ice has become contaminated. Person in charge (PIC) removed the containers and disposed of the ice at the time of inspection. Discussed storing containers in a pan with ice separate from the ice they scoop for customer drinks so that they pose no risk of contaminating customer food.

This establishment received an B Grade and had 1 Priority, 1 Priority Foundation violations on this inspection. Core-2-102.12(A), C: Certified Food Protection Manager Observed no Certified Food Manager (CFM) onsite at time of inspection. Person in charge was unable to produce a certified food protection manager certificate. A CFM is required to be on the premises during all hours of operations. Provide a CFM onsite by next routine inspection. Of Note: - Discussed proper handwashing procedures with person in charge (PIC). - Discussed proper cooling procedures with PIC. - The Environmental Services Department will begin emailing permit card(s) and permit invoice(s) to permittees in the coming months. We need a current and accurate email address on file to ensure you receive a copy of your permit card and invoice(s) upon renewal.
