Plumbing installed; proper backflow devices
PRIORITY VIOLATION-5-202.13, P: Backflow Prevention, Air Gap ------ Observed hoses connected to threaded spigot with no backflow prevention device at two different mop sinks in the back store room. Observed one sink equipped with a hose bib and the mop sink inside the dairy cooler with a mixing faucet. Disconnected the hoses to restore air gap. Reviewed requirements for back-flow prevention on this type of spigot. All hose bibs must be equipped with hose bib vacuum breakers to prevent a cross connection between the potable and non-potable water systems. Please install a back-flow prevention device, such as a hose bib vacuum breaker or AVB, if the hose remains connected to the faucet between use. Hoses were disconnected at the time of inspection. A re-inspection will take place on 10/12/2023 to ensure the appropriate back flows have been added.
