For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4573/AMC-Toolbox---Handwashing.------ Observed an employee return from break, approach the hand sink, wet their hands, apply soap, and scrub for less than 10 seconds before rinsing and turning off the faucet with their bare hand. Had employee stop and re-wash their hands following the correct procedure: scrubbing with soap for at least 15 seconds, rinsing for 5 (for a total of 20 seconds) and turning off the faucet with a paper towel. Please ensure all employees know how to properly wash their hands in order to prevent the spread of harmful pathogens.

Had PIC re-stock the restroom with paper towels immediately. Please ensure that all hand sinks are always stocked with paper towels so that people can properly wash and dry their hands. Residual moisture can increase the level of touch-contact-associated bacterial transfer following hand washing.
