The floor drain to the right of the front handwash sink in backing up and overflowing. The floor sink next to the mop sink area has standing water. Ensure that the plumbing is repaired properly.

Core-6-501.11, C: Repairing-Premises, Structures, Attachments, and Fixtures-Methods-----The floors in the warewash, prep, and next to the ice machine has grout and tiles that are excessively damaged/chipped with standing water present. The ceiling has is missing multiple ceiling tiles and has holes present in the mop sink, prep, and storage areas. Ensure that ceiling is repaired properly to a smooth and easily cleanable surface. Core-6-501.12, C: Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions--Excess dust/soil residue present on the walls and fans in the walk in cooler and prep areas. Ensure that physical facility is cleaned as frequently as necessary.

This establishment is not participating in the award program at this time and had 2 Priority, 1 Priority Foundation and 3 Core Violations on this inspection. Core-2-102.12(A), C: Certified Food Protection Manager----The PIC is not a certified food protection manager. Ensure that the PERSON IN CHARGE is a certified FOOD protection manager that is able to show proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of an ACCREDITED PROGRAM. 4rd Consecutive Violation A pattern of non-compliance for Priority violation # 19, 3-501.16 has been noted during this inspection. The person in charge is scheduled to attend the Department’s Active Managerial Control Class on April 13th from 8:45-11AM. A pattern of non-compliance is developing for Priority violation # 49, 5-205.15 which has been noted during this inspection. An Active Managerial Control Intervention Visit was offered to the person in charge. Failure to correct repeat violations may result in legal action. Emailed the inspection report. Due to the violations noted on this inspection report, County legal action may result from this inspection.

Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
