PRIORITY VIOLATION-2-301.14, P: When to Wash. Observed an employee handle trash in trash can with gloved hands and begin cutting a ready to eat avocado for a salad with same gloved hands. Employees must properly wash hands after engaging in any activities in which contamination has occurred. Instructed employee to discard avocado, remove gloves, properly wash hands and don new gloves to continue working with food. Discussed when to wash and importance of proper handwashing with Person in Charge.
