Observed packages of hamburger buns in kitchen sandwich prep area, directly next to the handwashing sink. When employees wash hands, water can splash onto packages of hamburger buns. Advised person in charge (PIC) that packages of food must be in a location to prevent contamination of foods, or a barrier installed between the packaged foods and the handwashing sink. PIC stated they will either relocate the buns or install a barrier between the handwashing sink and bun storage area.

Core-4-202.16, C: Nonfood-Contact Surfaces Observed cardboard being used to line bottom of wire storage racks in walk-in refrigerator. Advised person in charge (PIC) that non-food contact surfaces that require frequent cleaning shall be constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material. PIC stated they would remove cardboard lining wire storage racks.

Core-6-501.12, C: Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions Observed old packaging and debris in corners of back storage area, and an accumulation of grease on floor behind main grill. Advised person in charge (PIC) that corners and areas underneath/behind equipment shall be cleaned to sight and touch and at a frequency to prevent debris build-up. PIC stated they will have the areas cleaned more thoroughly and frequently.

This establishment received a(n) A Grade and had 0 Priority, 0 Priority Foundation and 3 Core violations on this inspection. Inspection rights verbally reviewed with person in charge, Caio R. Discussed ensuring milkshake blender is washed, rinsed, and sanitized every 4 hours. Also, ensure lettuce/tomatoes/sliced cheese are not overfilled in containers of top section of small sandwich prep refrigerator on make line in order to keep food items below 41 degrees F. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Emailed inspection report.
