Inspection Comments

First walk through with the superintendent. The following items were observed/ discussed: 1). Floor sink will be in place for the ice vending machine room. 2). Some of the floor sinks in the room with the multi-plex may need to be moved. 3). Reduced Pressure Zone (RP) valve will be installed upstream of the RO system. 4). Please tie in the water source of the spray down hose in the cabinet under the soda station into the backflow valve for the spray down hose for the coffee counter. 5). Oven will receive an RP valve upstream of the self cleaning water line. Not for the RO water feed. 6). Pitcher rinser in the stand alone work sink in the kitchen will require a RP backflow valve upstream. 7). If not planned, please install a RP valve upstream of the Multi-Plex. Install with hub drain and please do not install copper downstream. 8). Please install Double checks or RP valves upstream of the spray down hoses for the coffee counter and now also soda drip trays. No County legal action will result from this inspection. E-mailed to superintendent.

Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
