OC Inspection - E&D Class 2 This inspection was conducted with the owner. A PDF copy of this inspection report was emailed to Jennifer B. at the time of this inspection. No county legal action will result from this inspection. This facility has removed all of the previous food facility equipment and sinks except the mop sink and water heater. Remodel Plans must be submitted to MCESD for remodel construction work required for this facility. The following items must be addressed during the remodel, construction process. 1. The current 3 compartment sink is directly connected to the mop sink drain pipe and the sewer after that. The three compartment sink must have a separate, indirect drain pipe that empties into a floor sink or similar with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the sink. 2. Provide FRP behind, underneath and around the three compartment sink. 3. The ice machine must have a separate, indirect drain pipe that empties into a floor sink or similar with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the sink. 4. Provide a cove base finish at all floor/wall junctures throughout the beverage prep and mop sink areas. 5. A dedicated hand sink must be provided in the beverage prep area. 6. Reroute the water heater overflow pan drain pipe so that it runs along the walls before it empties into the drain basin with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the basin. 7. The cappuccino machine must a separate, indirect drain pipe that empties into a floor sink or similar with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the sink. 8. Provide a minimum of a semi-gloss paint finish to all bare wood in the beverage prep area and to the bare wood on the stand beneath the water heater. 9. Remove all bare wood shelves from the drain basin area in the mop sink room. The Environmental Services Department will begin emailing permit card(s) and permit invoice(s) to permittees in the coming months. Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
