Handwashing sink was observed to have not been used in quite some time due to heavy buildup of hard water scale and dust. Management will provide access to this sink and have sink cleaned and properly maintained prior to re-inspection on 4/15/19. Handwashing sinks should be accessible to employees and properly maintained to facilitate ease of handwashing and limit contamination during handwashing. Management will provide sanitizing test strips prior to re-inspection on 4/5/19. Core-4-501.16, C: Warewashing Sinks, Use Limitation-----Observed 3 compartment sink being used to store caution tape and plastic bucket. Management will remove items from sink and maintain sink in clean condition to prevent contamination during warewashing. 3 compartment sink is for warewashing only and should not be used for storage or other purposes.

This establishment received a(n) D Grade and had 0 Priority, 4 Priority Foundation and 1 Core violations on this inspection. OF NOTE: Discussed clenaing frequency for soda nozzles and tea dispensing equipment. Employee stated that they clean the soda nozzles once a week but other staff could be cleaning them more often. Employee stated that only hot water is used for cleaning the soda nozzles. Nozzles were observed "clean" at the time of inspection. All food contact surfaces must be cleaned using a 3 step wash, rinse and sanitize procedure at least every 4 hours for tea and coffee dispensing equipment and as often as necessary to prevent organic material buildup for non-TCS food equipment. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
