Observed employee rinsing out coffee carafe in only hand washing sink in food service area. Please ensure hand washing sinks are only used for washing hands. Food contact surfaces, such as coffee carafes, may not be washed in designated hand washing sinks. Utensils and equipment shall be washed, rinsed, and sanitized at 3-compartment sink. Pineapple, watermelon, and other prepped produce for retail should be washed at designated prep sink. 10-day re-inspection will occur on or by May 18, 2023. No County legal action will result from this inspection. The Environmental Services Department will begin emailing permit card(s) and permit invoice(s) to permittees in the coming months. Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
