Inspection Comments

First walk through with the superintendent. The following items were discussed: 1). West wall in support room can be block filled and painted with a semi-gloss paint. 2). Floor will be epoxy coated in support room, rest rooms and front service area. Epoxy will be rolled up the wall with a cove and brought up 6 inches. At floor sinks the transitions will be smooth and beveled towards the edge of the sink. 3). Provide a hand wash sink in the support room with three compartment sink. Three compartment sink is required. 4). Restroom doors will be self-closing. 5). Washable ceilings are required in support room and front service area. Open to structure is not approved. 6). Drive through window will need to properly work. 7). Provide an additional water line at the mop sink. 8). Restrooms will not be available to the public in this configuration. 9). Backflow protection will be required for the beverage machines. One may serve multiple machines where possible. See notes page P2.0. 10). Water lines for beverage machines are not in- if you install a RO system then a Reduced Pressure Zone backflow valve will be required up stream and no copper downstream of the RO system. 11). Front area is not regulated as long as all cracks and holes are filled in wall and at window frames. Please see plan review letter for backflow and other details. e.g. - Food employees do not properly wash hands when required
Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
