PRIORITY VIOLATION-5-402.13, P: Conveying Sewage. Observed floor sink providing drainage for prep sink, 3-compartment sink, and main hand wash sink blocked and overflowing at time of inspection. All three sinks are unusable. Observed employee attempt to wash hands and floor flooded with wastewater. Also observed wastewater sitting in basins of 3-compartment sink. Per PIC, the drain problem has been ongoing for several days. PIC stated establishment has been using bus tubs and dumping wastewater from 3-compartment sink out back door and into street. Bus tubs in 3-compartment sink and pooling water behind establishment were observed at time of inspection. All sewage must be properly conveyed at all times. Correct prior to re-inspection.

Maricopa County policy requires suspension of the operating permit of businesses with serious conditions constituting an imminent public health threat. Your permit is hereby suspended. If desired, you may request a hearing within 15 days. When violations are corrected call this office for a reinspection to reinstate your operating permit. If violations are not corrected or if a hearing is not requested within 25 days, your operating permit will be revoked. Due to the violations noted on this inspection report, County legal action may result from this inspection. Red close sign was posted at time of inspection. Report emailed to permit holder and printed and handed to person in charge at time of inspection. On July 1st, 2023, the Environmental Services Department started emailing permit card(s) and permit invoice(s) to permittees. Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
