Inspection Comments

Pre-final walk through with the superintendent. Construction is 85% completion. The following items were discussed: 1). Plumber is still working on the drains for the restroom hand wash sinks and installing cleanout covers. 2). East wall hand wash sink is leaking at the drain. 3). Mop sink and and corner guards will be caulked in. 4). Coved base will be installed in the front service area, also in the refrigeration cove (2") along the kitchen side of the soda station and along the walk in unit in the exterior. 5). Three backflow valves will be tested. 6). When the plumber is done setting the sinks they will be caulked in at the top wall juncture with a flush bead of caulk or if wide beveled away from the wall. 7). Where the PVC drain line runs through the wall behind the multiplex and under three compartment sink the penetration around the drain will be caulked. 8). East side hood will be caulked to the wall at the top and side juncture. 9). Where conduits penetrate through the floor the depressions will be grouted in flush with the tile 10). FRP junctures with trims and underside drive through shelve will be caulked in. 11). Outlet covers and blank covers where applicable will be installed where missing. 12). Exterior side of windows will be caulked in. 13). Base tile will be caulked at the wall junctures where open. (Hall way) 14). Coffee and tea brewers will have a dual check valve upstream that meets plumbing standard ASSE 1022. One is already in place. At time of final all refrigeration equipment will be on and holding temperatures. Hot water will be available at all sinks. Final is scheduled for December 2nd Thursday afternoon. Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
