E&D, class 3, 10+ Equipment inspection was conducted with the superintendent, Mike N. Construction is at 95% completion. The establishment can stock cold and dry products. Backflow preventer for the soda carbonator had been certified. Person in charge acknowledged the inspection rights. The following items need to be addressed prior to the final construction inspection: 1. Provide at least 1” air gap from the finished floor for all drainpipe. Drainpipes must be rigid, at least 6” from finished floor and slope to drain 1/4” per foot. 2. Trim off excess foam at soda chase and provide several coats of high-gloss paint on top of the foam. 3. Caulk and seal all gaps, cracks and penetrations throughout. This includes countertop and diewall junctures, under the hood, fixed equipment, fixed workstations, trims on FRP or stainless-steel panels. Inside the walk-in units: fire sprinkler heads, conduits and pipe penetrations, etc. 4. Please avoid un-necessary exposed electrical conduits. 5. Re-wrap the condenser pipe inside the walk-in freezer. There are gaps along this pipe and freeze the pipe. No County legal action will result from this inspection.
