PRIORITY VIOLATION-5-203.14, P: Backflow Prevention Device, When Required Observed a coffee machine, on south side of kitchen, connected to a water line, without a backflow prevention device. Advised person in charge (PIC) that kitchen food/beverage equipment which is directly connected to a water line must have a backflow prevention device, such as a 1022 backflow preventer, installed upstream of the machine to prevent any backflow contamination of water line. PIC stated they will have a backflow prevention device installed as soon as possible.

This establishment received a(n) B Grade and had 1 Priority, 0 Priority Foundation and 0 Core violations on this inspection. Inspection rights verbally reviewed with person in charge, Nina C. Provided New Operator Food Safety packet resources. Kitchen prepares, cools, and packages meals with a "Meals on Wheels" type organization called "Home Delivered Meals." "Home Delivered Meals" is funded by "Area Agency" Kitchen prepares meals and cools left overs which are then placed in small disposable meal trays, sealed with plastic, cooled, and frozen. Meals are delivered to area residents 3 times a week. Residents are provided cold holding and reheating instruction with each meal. Awaiting information from FSL on the type of plastic seal that is used to ensure it is a food safe oxygen transfer type sealing plastic for meal trays. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Emailed inspection report.
