Inspection Comments

New permit inspection for the retail grocery permit. Walk through with the owner. The following items were noted for follow up: 1). Please clean and repair the ceiling fans. Both restrooms. 2). Countertop is laminate and is in disrepair. Or re-pair the back splash and seal joints creating one large surface or replace with a solid surface material. 3). There is water pooling in the back of the cabinet under the corner soda fountain. Please check for leaks and repair. 4). Replace flex line on the ice machine and provide a rigid drain line leading to the floor sink. Maintain gravity flow and 1 inch air gap. 5). Paint and seal all the wood (shelving) in the back room with three compartment sink. 6). Some of the toilets in the ladies rooms are loose, shim and re-caulk. 7). Ice vending machine condensate will need to be addressed. Check ice vending machine to see why it produces so much condensate. If that can not be addressed then lead condensate away from the structure and lead to a dry wall 1 x 1 foot wide and 2 feet deep with rocks. 8). Water vending machine, drain line needs to be braced so there is no sagging, in addition the wall penetration will need to be sealed. 9). Walk in fan covers should be cleaned. 10). Provide a urinal partition between the two urinals in the men's room Vanity sink faucet in the ladies room will be replaced. One violation has been moved from the Eating and Drinking permit to this retail grocery permit for follow up so the Eating and Drinking permit can be approved: 11). Install a fly fan or air curtain over the front door. Permit not yet approved. Please make corrections and call for your re-inspection when ready. Please note that if follow up inspections are required beyond the next inspection you will be changed a inspection fee. No County legal action will result from this inspection.
