First walk through for the KFC Surprise. Met up with the superintendent and the following items were discussed: 1). NSF approved food prep sink will be installed in the kitchen. Waste will be indirectly plumbed through a hub drain. 20 x20 Inches single compartment with or without drain board will work. 2). Condensate drains from the walk in will be led into the landscaping and clear from the structure. If there is any chance of pooling during monsoon season then create a dry well 1 x1 foot and 2 feet deep with rocks to capture the water so mosquito's don't breed. 3). Reduced Pressure Principle backflow valves will be installed at: a). The combi-oven on the water supply. Hub drain can be led to the floor sink near the oven. b). Upstream of carbonator. For b, drain can be run to the floor drain in the riser room. Please do not install copper downstream. Soda company can tie right into the valve. 4). Dual check valves that meet plumbing standard ASSE 1022 will be installed for the: a). Bunn hot water dispensers, one can serve both. b). On the water supply line to the hot cabinet. c). On the water supply to the coffee/ tea brewer. 5). Install metal coved base along the floor / wall junctures in the coolers. 6). Provide metal coved base along the front of the dining room beverage counter. 7). Fly fans will be installed at the drive through and the back door. 8). Dining room soda drains and ice machine drain will be run through the wall to the floor sink. Try to come in high and properly brace. Finish out penetration through the wall and follow gravity flow and keep 1 inch air gap. 9). Provide an additional water feed at the mop sink for future chemical dispensers. Hose bib or angle stop are approved. 10). The water heater has been changed to a 120 gallon unit. Not sure how that comes out. If placed in the corner please see if you can leave space around the unit to clean. Some of the units also come with a condensate line on the flue and if this is the case see if you can create a raised slab to place the water heater on. This way the area is easier to be be kept clean and you will have enough height to lead the condensate drain to the floor drain. 11). Provide washable ceiling tiles of the dining room beverage counter. Construction is at 35%. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Printed for superintendent. Inspection rights included.
