Inspection Comments

First inspection for the kitchen area. The following items have been discussed: 1). The soft serve machine is outside the FDA and County rules what distance is concerned for the hand wash sink. Please move the soft serve machine closer to a hand wash sink. 2). Hand sinks require splash guards when located within 24 inches from food storage or single service item storage. 3). A Reduced Pressure Zone backflow valve will be required for the soda system. Install with hub drain assembly. Make sure it is located in an accessible location and do not install copper downstream. 4) Tie the icee machine into the water line pas the backflow valve noted under # 3. 5). Coved floor wall junctures will be required in the restrooms. 6). A separate water feed will be installed at the mop sink. 7). Finishes around the existing mop sink will need to be washable and durable. See stipulation letter. 8). Provide sufficient lighting in the walk-in refrigerator. 9). Condensate from coolers will be led to the floor sink at the ice machine. Plumbing is about complete. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Printed on site.

Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
