Inspection Comments

OC inspection for a Class 3 10+ E&D permit was conducted with owner Ashraf H. by appointment. The establishment was closed and not operating at time of inspection. The permit is not approved. Please address the following items prior to the OC re-inspection: 1) Provide a handwash sink in the back kitchen area, as discussed. 2) Provide 1" minimum air gaps at the three sink and prep sink drains. 3) Remove the bidet from the restroom, as discussed. 4) Provide all missing clean out covers, as needed. 5) Provide the sneeze guard around the front service area, as discussed. 6) Caulk all sink fixtures to the walls with silicone. 7) Caulk all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetrations throughout the facility with silicone. 8) Repair the restroom ceiling to provide a smooth and easily cleanable finish. 9) Caulk all penetrations in the walk-in coolers with an aluminum based silicone. 10) Replace the burnt ventilation hood lights. 11) Replace the missing FRP trim pieces, as needed. 12) Provide missing floor sink grates, as needed. 13) Provide door sweeps and weather stripping at the exterior doors. At the OC re-inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. Please contact the Department to schedule a follow-up inspection at 602.506.6824 once violations have been corrected. Please be advised that the New Business Permit Application fee includes one initial inspection and one follow-up inspection. Additional fees will be assessed for any additional follow-up plan review inspections. Advised the owner that any future soda fountain installation would require a minor plan review submittal to obtain approval for use. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
