Inspection Comments

New owner inspection walk through for the Retail Grocery permit with the store director. The following items were identified for correction: 1). Please check and make sure all floor sinks are easily accessible for cleaning. 2). Re-mount base along the beer cooler where loose. 3). Repair the air curtain switch on the roll up door in the back room. 4). Please re-cover some of the insulation were open in the back room near the produce department. 5). Repair the leaking atmospheric vacuum breaker on the mop sink faucet. 6). Re-mount the uni-strut for the spray arm assembly at the two compartment sink at produce. 7). Provide a faucet neck washer for the faucet at the produce two compartment sink. 8). Provide a full air gap in the chemical dispensers over the three compartment sink at the produce two compartment sink. 9). Provide sufficient sink stoppers for both sinks. 10). Provide a faucet for the three compartment sink at produce. 11). Provide a pressure vacuum breaker for the spray down chemical system in produce. Mount 12 inches above highest point downstream and have valve tested and certified after installation. 12). Produce mister system is filter only. Not an RO system. This unit does have a produce sprayer. Please install a double check valve on the supply line. Have the valve tested a and certified after installation. 13). There are un-finished pressed wooden shelves in the dairy cooler, please seal and finish out cleanable or replace rack with more durable material. 14). In the ladies room close of the holes in the stalls around the clean out covers. Both stalls. 15). At the soda station provide access in the cabinet floor to the floor sink. All existing backflow valves were tested in October on 2021 This establishment has demonstrated sufficient compliance to proceed with the issuance of the permit. To complete the issuance of this permit and begin operation, the applicant must first submit payment of the permit fee to the Department’s Business Services Office. Per Chapter I, Regulation 4, of the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code, no person shall conduct an operation or an establishment for which a permit is required without holding the necessary and valid permit to do so. We accept cash, check, money order, credit/debit. It is the responsibility of the permit holder/owner to notify MCESD if there are contact/ billing address changes. Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
