Inspection Comments

Equipment inspection for a Class 4 10+ E&D permit was conducted with owner Susan R. by appointment. Inspection rights were delivered via email. The project is approximately 90% complete. Please ensure the following items are addressed by the completion of the project: 1) The facility will be following outdoor bar requirements due to the presence of garage roll-up doors. The facility will need to provide tight-fitting, self-closing doors to all kitchen entrances to seal the kitchen. The soda fountain system at the service station is not approved. Please provide soda gun systems only. 2) Install ASSE 1013 reduced pressure backflow preventers upstream of the soda carbonator, glycol system, keg washers, and glass rinsers at the bars. Ensure no copper is located downstream of the soda carbonator backflow. Certify and provide test reports. 3) Install ASSE 1022 dual check backflow preventers upstream of all non-carbonated beverage equipment. 4) All hose bibs must be equipped with ASSE 1011 backflow preventers. 5) Provide strip lighting to the bars for the black FRP. 6) Caulk-in all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetrations throughout the facility. 7) Provide sanitary napkin receptacles at all women's restroom stalls. 8) Provide rubber cove base to the millwork/floor junctures and the cmu block/floor junctures at the bar. Caulk the base of the rubber base with silicone. 9) Provide a clear matte seal to the wood walls and ceilings at the bar. Caulk all gaps, as needed. 10) Flash off the gaps around the large walk-in refrigerator entryway. 11) Provide weather stripping to the back exterior door located in the kitchen. 12) Provide a self-closure to the back exterior door in the kitchen. 13) Caulk all fixed shelving to the walls with silicone. At the final construction inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
