Plumbing Inspection - E&D Class 2 - Starbucks This inspection was conducted with the contractor. A PDF copy of this inspection report was emailed to Jerry S. at the time of this inspection. Address the following prior to final permit approval; 1. All ice bins must be installed inside Starbucks kiosks, not on the outside. 2. Provide easily cleanable, waterproof floors throughout the facility including all food and beverage prep areas. 3. Provide a cove base finish at all floor/wall junctures and floor/cabinet junctures throughout the facility including all food and beverage prep areas. 4. Provide dedicated water lines for all chemical dispensers including at mop sink areas. Chemical dispensers must not be installed on mop sink faucets. 5. Provide a certified, RPZ backflow prevention device for the water supply line to the Starbucks RO system. All piping and fittings on the downstream side of this device must be plastic or stainless steel, no copper or brass. 6. Provide a certified, RPZ backflow prevention device for the water supply lines that feed blender rinsers installed in sinks with submerged water inlets. 7. Provide separate drain pipes to floor sinks with minimum 1 in. air-gaps for all three compartment sinks, rinse sinks, ice bins etc. 8. Provide adequate backflow protection for all equipment connected to water supply lines including coffee makers and cappuccino machines. No county legal action will result from this inspection.

Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
