Permit update: Stopped by to check on the status of the construction and for a meet and greet with the new project manager. The person in charge is not at the site at the time of inspection. There are electricians in the building working on electrical panels. The facility is not approved for food storage, food prep at this time. Noted, some of the sinks, the dishwasher and walk-in units were installed. In the prep room, flooring finishes are not consistence with part epoxy coating and part polished concrete. Inside the walk-in freezer’s floor, there are some soft insulated bags with frozen vacuum-packed meat, pasta, vegetables, etc. inside them. Left business card at the front counter for the person in charge to contact inspector. No county legal action will result from this inspection. Auto emailed the report to the owner. Contact the Department at 602-506-6824 to schedule the next inspection. Allow 7-15 business days to schedule. You are hereby notified that you are operating this establishment in violation of the MCEHC. Per Chapter 1, Regulation 4(a) “No person shall conduct an operation or operate an establishment for which a permit is required without holding the necessary and valid permit to do so, unless otherwise specified in this Environmental Health Code.”

e.g. - Food employees do not properly wash hands when required
Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
