OC Re-Inspection - E&D Class 3 This inspection was conducted with the manager on duty. A PDF copy of this inspection report was emailed to Tony C. at the time of this inspection. Correct the following prior to your next routine inspection. 1. The drain pipes for the new food prep sink and hand sink must be separated so each sink has its own drain pipe that drains into the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap. Also, install vinyl cove base at the floor/wall juncture beneath these sinks. 2. Install the stainless steel backflow device on the water supply line to the soda fountain carbonator as discussed. All piping and fittings on the downstream side of this device must be plastic or stainless steel, no copper or brass. 3. Caulk and seal the backsplashes of the three compartment sink and dishwasher drain boards to the walls behind them. 4. Caulk and seal the seam between the underside of the bar top and the supporting wall underneath. 5. Repair the damaged drywall behind the main ice machine and provide a minimum of a semi-gloss paint finish to the walls. 6. Provide minimum 1 in. air-gaps between the ends of all of the drain lines in the bar area and the flood rim of the floor sink that they drain int0 7. Finish attaching and sealing the back hand sink to the wall.. No county legal action will result from this inspection. This establishment has demonstrated sufficient compliance to proceed with the issuance of the permit. To complete the issuance of this permit and begin operation, the applicant must first submit payment of the permit fee to the Department’s Business Services Office. Per Chapter I, Regulation 4, of the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code, no person shall conduct an operation or an establishment for which a permit is required without holding the necessary and valid permit to do so. Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
