Inspection Comments

Retail food, class 2 OC inspection was conducted with the permit holder, Arman. The establishment is open and operating but not selling any TCS items. Noted soda fountain station had been removed. All drink equipment had been shut off. The mop sink has standing water inside the basin. Permit is not approved. The person in charge must be a certified food protection manager and present on site at all operating hours. Please address the following items in order to be approved: 1. Repair/ replace the underground drainpipe for the establishment. The mop sink is constantly not draining. 2. Provide a 50-gallon tank water heater. The establishment is also applying for an E&D permit. 3. Provide hot and cold water at all sinks. Hot water must be at 110*F or higher. 4. Cold holding units must maintain all time/ temperature control food public health safety at 41*F or below. 5. Provide side splashguard on the right-hand side of the hand sink at the coffee station. 6. Drainpipe must be rigid and indirectly discharge to floor sink with minimum 1” air gap from this the finished floor. 7. Paint finish must be semi-gloss or high-gloss paint on walls and ceiling. 8. Provide escutcheon plates around all pipe penetrations. Please seal around pipes first. 9. Caulk and seal all gaps, cracks and penetrations that has the thickness of a business card throughout. This includes around floor sinks, wall/ sink junctures, trims of FRP panels or corner guards. No County legal action will result from this inspection. The inspection rights sheet is emailed with the report to the person in charge. You are hereby notified that you are operating this establishment in violation of the MCEHC. Per Chapter 1, Regulation 4(a) ³No person shall conduct an operation or operate an establishment for which a permit is required without holding the necessary and valid permit to do so, unless otherwise specified in this Environmental Health Code’s. Please be advised that the New Business Permit Application fee includes one initial inspection and one follow-up inspection. Additional fees will be assessed for any additional follow-up plan review inspections.

Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
