Inspection Comments

OC Reinspection, E&D Class 4, 10+ Seating. Inspection conducted with owner Martin T. Inspection report and rights emailed to Martin T. Correct the following items prior to reinspection on 6/17/22: 1) Replace the copper pipe that is installed downstream of the RPZ going towards the soda machine. There cannot be any copper/brass pipes or fittings downstream of the RPZ. Provide PEX or PVC in place of the copper. 2) Test and certify the RPZ backflow device and provide the test report. 3) Continue to deep clean the equipment underneath the hood. Sides of the fryer, pipes and brackets underneath the equipment of the hood still has a heavy accumulation of grease. Remove the milk crate next to the walk-in freezer and clean the flooring. 4) Continue to replace the shelves in the kitchen that are rusted, and one shelf in the walk-in cooler. 5) Lift the drain line to the ice machine using a Unistrut. Drain lines must not sit on the floor. 6) Provide a new weather strip to the left side of the back door. Light was observed shining through. Please contact the Department to schedule a follow-up inspection at 602.506.6980 once violations have been corrected. Please be advised that the New Business Permit Application fee includes one initial inspection and one follow-up inspection. ***Additional fees will be assessed for any additional follow-up plan review inspections. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

e.g. - Food employees do not properly wash hands when required
Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
