Inspection Comments

Equipment inspection for a Class 3 School Food Service permit was conducted with superintendent Tom G. by appointment. The project is approximately 90% complete. Please address the following items prior to the final construction inspection: 1) Provide ASSE 1055 A internal air gaps to the chemical dispensers throughout the facility or install an ASSE 1013 reduced pressure backflow preventer upstream of the dispensers. Certify and provide test reports. 2) Set the handwash sinks where mixing valves are installed at 100' F minimum throughout the facility. 3) Rigid plumb the drains for the hot wells and salad bar to the floor sinks and provide 1" minimum air gaps. 4) Caulk-in all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetrations throughout the facility with silicone. 5) Trim the foam sealant in the walk-in coolers and caulk with silicone. 6) Provide sanitary napkin waste containers in all restrooms used by female staff and students. 7) Caulk all concrete flooring saw cuts in the janitor rooms, as needed, with butyl caulking. At the final construction inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.
