Inspection Comments

Plumbing inspection for a Class 4 10+ E&D permit was conducted with superintendent Tom E. by appointment. The project is approximately 50% complete. Please ensure the following items are addressed by the completion of the project: 1) Provide micro-switched air curtains or an approved integrated pest management policy for the bifold doors and windows throughout the facility. IPM requirements will be provided via email. 2) Provide a handwash sink to the soda service station or provide a soda fountain unit that dispenses ice. No ice well is approved without a handwash sink. 3) Install an ASSE 1013 reduced pressure backflow preventer upstream of the soda carbonator. Ensure no copper or copper alloys are located downstream of the unit. Certify and provide a test report. 4) Install ASSE 1022 dual checks for the water supply lines to the non-carbonated beverage equipment. Reviewed finishes throughout the facility. Please contact the Department to schedule the equipment inspection (50-75% completion) at 602.506.6824. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
