Inspection Comments

Initial equipment inspection. Construction is complete but not approved at this time. Address the following items: (1) Provide 1 minimum 30 gallon water heater (2) Fill in flush all saw cuts/expansion joints at the 3 comp, service area, and restrooms. (3) Provide smooth vinyl ceiling tile at the service area as discussed. (4) Patch the wall in the cabinet located under the espresso machine. (5) Provide an RPZ backflow assembly (ex. Watts 009) on the water line isolating the drop in counter glass rinser. Provide funnel and drain assembly. (6) Shorter pipe and provide a hub for the drain lines from the espresso. Drain lines must be air gapped above the hub drain. (7) Repair/replace the leaking AVB on the mop sink faucet (8) Remove the carpet from the mop sink closet. Report auto emailed No county legal action will result from this inspection.

Priority violation is a major violation that directly contributes to increasing the risk of foodborne illness or injury.
e.g. - Food employees do not properly wash hands when required
Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
