Inspection Comments

Construction inspection for a Class 2 Service Kitchen permit was conducted with manager Carolyn H. by appointment. The inspection was conducted as a tailgate plan review. The project is 100% complete at time of inspection. Please address the following items prior to the final construction inspection: 1) Replace the pullout spray faucet at the handwash sink and provide a rigid faucet. 2) Replumb the ice machine drain by transitioning the flex tubing at the vertical drop into rigid piping and indirectly plumb the drain line to a floor sink. Ensure a 1" minimum air gap is provided. 3) Provide new FRP board around the mop sink walls and install a mop holder to properly store the mops when not in use. 4) Provide rubber cove base to the millwork/floor junctures at the main kitchen and service kitchen, in the main kitchen dry storage room, and the employee restroom of the service kitchen. Caulk the base of the rubber base with silicone. 5) Provide an NSF, commercial refrigerator unit. 6) Remove the garbage disposal from the service kitchen sink. 7) Paint the exposed block at the kitchen side with semi-gloss paint to provide a level 4 finish. 8) Provide self-closure devices for the back exterior door and employee restroom door. At the final construction inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.
