Inspection Comments

OC Inspection, E&D Class 3, 0-9 seating. Inspection conducted with owner Chanedra N. Establishment was open and operating at the time of inspection. ***Bacon, sausage, ham and egg must be cooked in the microwave or a self-containing oven. Food must not be cooked on an induction plate. Correct the following items prior to reinspection: 1) Hand sink in the restroom had a hot water temperature of 88’F. Adjust hot water temperature within 24 hours of reinspection so that the hot water measures at 100-110’F. 2) Remove the ice cream unit from the front area, the make table, ice cream unit in the BOH and the True fridge. If ice cream unit is not removed provide a stainless steel water spout with a 1-inch air gap and a 1-inch air gap for the drain line. 3) Repair the water leaking from the sanitizer three compartment sink. 4) Replace the mop sink dome grate in the floor sink. 5) Silicone behind the 3-compartment sink basin 6) Remove all 3 ceiling fans within the kitchen and front service area. 7) Recommend painting the front wall a light color. Otherwise paint the wall with a semi-gloss paint. 8) Provide rubber vinyl cove base to the wall and floor juncture in the dry storage room. 9) Provide a U-shaped toilet seat for the employee restroom. 10) Finish removing the plastic wrap for the make table. 11) Provide washable vinyl ceiling tiles above the mop sink. You are hereby notified that you are operating this establishment in violation of the MCEHC. Per Chapter 1, Regulation 4(a) “No person shall conduct an operation or operate an establishment for which a permit is required without holding the necessary and valid permit to do so, unless otherwise specified in this Environmental Health Code.” County legal action may result due to violations observed during this inspection. Please contact the Department to schedule a follow-up inspection at 602.506.6980 once violations have been corrected. Please be advised that the New Business Permit Application fee includes one initial inspection and one follow-up inspection. Additional fees will be assessed for any additional follow-up plan review inspections. Due to the violations noted on this inspection report, County legal action may result from this inspection.

Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
