Inspection Comments

Equipment inspection for a Class 2 Retail Food Establishment permit was conducted with owner and superintendent Steve A. by appointment. The project is approximately 90% complete. Please address the following items prior to the final construction inspection: 1) Plumb the condensate drain lines for the walk-in cooler to the landscaped area, as discussed. 2) Provide a new mop sink faucet with a hose bib vacuum breaker. The pull out sprayer faucet is not approved. 3) Caulk-in all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetrations throughout the facility with silicone. 4) Provide self-closure devices to the back exterior door and restroom door. 5) Provide weather stripping and door sweeps to the exterior doors, as needed. 6) Provide a small separate covered trash receptacle for feminine product disposal. 7) Provide missing light shields as needed. 8) Fill the flooring gaps, as needed, to provide a smooth and flush finish. 9) Finish the patched wall area near the mop sink. 10) Remove the laminate shelving in the mop sink room. 11) Provide additional FRP behind the three compartment sink, as discussed. 12) Flash off the left side of the ventilation hood. At the final construction inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. MCESD inspection report was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
