Inspection Comments

Plumbing inspection for Class 3 0-9 E&D permit was conducted with owner Geeta B. by appointment. The project is approximately 90% complete at time of inspection. The permit is not approved. Please address the following items prior to the completion of the project: 1) Separate the drain lines for the mop sink and prep sink. The drain lines must be separate to prevent contamination. 2) Provide the sneeze guards to the front service area. 3) Provide a semi-gloss finish to the restroom walls. 4) Caulk-in all escutcheon plates and plumbing penetrations throughout the facility with silicone. 5) Provide a u-shaped toilet seat in the restroom. 6) Provide a self-closure device for the restroom door. 7) Replace the laminate countertops with a solid surface material. 8) Provide splash guards around the prep sink to prevent contamination from the three sink and mop sink. 9) Provide a metal cove base to the floor/wall junctures at the vent hood. The rubber base is not approved. 10) Caulk the ventilation hood gaps with an aluminum based silicone. 11) Replace the torn refrigerator door gaskets for the low boy refrigeration unit. 12) Paint the wood shelving in the walk-in cooler with semi-gloss paint. 13) Caulk-in the plumbing penetration in the walk-in cooler. 14) Re-wrap the condenser line in the walk-in cooler with new black foam. At the final construction inspection, ensure hot water measuring 120' F minimum is provided to the plumbing system and all refrigerators are on and measuring at 41' F or below. MCESD inspection was delivered via email. No County legal action will result from this inspection.

Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
