Inspection Comments

Plumbing Plumbing inspection was conducted with the license holder, Melissa Y. Construction had been completed since last September. The establishment is open and operating ever since. Conducted walk-through. Please address the following facility items before the final construction inspection: 1. Provide a hand washing sink the cooking area. Sink must have hot and cold water and side splash guards. 2. Provide a NSF food prep sink. Sink must have hot and cold water and indirectly discharge to the floor sink with minimum 1” air gap from the finished floor. The current prep sink does not meet the NSF standard. 3. Provide hot water at 110*F and available at all sinks within 45 seconds upon activation. 4. All water lines must be 6 inches off the floor. 5. Provide rigid drainpipe for the ice machine. Flexible hose is not acceptable. Drainpipe must be 6” above floor, braced with metal bracket along the wall, slope to drain at ¼” per foot and 1” air gap from the finished floor. 6. Provide stand or legs for the ice machine so it will be at least 6 inches from the floor for cleaning purpose. 7. Ensure all wares must be able to fit inside the 3-comp sink for proper cleaning and sanitation purpose. 8. All cold /hot holding equipment must be in working condition and holding at proper temperature. 9. Provide probe thermometer for food monitoring purpose. 10. Provide soap and paper towels at all sinks. 11. Provide sanitizer and test strips. 12. Provide a few more coats of paint on walls in the dinning and hallway. Emailed the report to the owner. Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control.
