This is a construction report. No County legal action will result from this inspection. Inspection conducted at MFO. Report printed and given to operator at time of inspection. Not okay to permit. The following items must be corrected prior to issuing a permit: 1). A leak was observed at three-compartment sink. Item 49I 5-205.15 (A), P –System Maintained in Good Repair; According to Law. Please correct prior to next routine inspection. 2). Observed exposed wood shelving at service counter and encasing the freshwater tank. All surfaces shall be smooth and easily cleanable. Please cover exposed wood. 3). Please reduce service counter window size to 324 square inches. Openings shall be limited to 324 square inches each and equipped with a screen (16 mesh per square inch minimum) or solid door which shall be kept closed when not in use. 4). Observed gaps in walls of mobile unit. Item 53T 6-501.11, C – Repairing-Premises, Structures, Attachments, and Fixtures-Methods. Cracks, gaps, or holes in the floor, walls, ceiling, which make it difficult to clean must be sealed. On July 1st, 2023, the Environmental Services Department started emailing permit card(s) and permit invoice(s) to permittees. e.g. - Food employees do not properly wash hands when required
Priority foundation violation is a minor violation that does not directly contribute to an increased risk of foodborne illness but failure to correct this violation may lead to the occurrence of a priority violation.
e.g.- Hand washing soap and paper towels not available at hand wash sink (may lead directly to food employees not properly washing hands when required)
Core violation is a minor violation that relates to general maintenance and sanitation.
e.g. -No sign reminding employees to wash hands
Verification Visits are inspections of establishments enrolled in the MCESD Cutting Edge Program, which requires an enhanced food safety program and ongoing demonstration of active managerial control. Verification Visit inspections found in compliance with Cutting Edge program requirements receive an “A” grade.
