Observed a spoon in the hand sink near the expo/ server area. Also observed employee dump ice and ice tea into this sink. Spoon was removed and employee was educated to not use the hand sink for other purposes aside from hand washing. The sink at the bar was blocked by a trash can, it was moved. Suggested to purchase a smaller trash can to fit underneath the sink without blocking it.

Observed several cutting tools and veggie peelers stored in a container on the prep table in the back near the 3-compartment sink. These tools had dry crusted debris on them. They were placed in a soapy water to soak and get washed.

Core-6-201.13, C: Floor and Wall Junctures, Coved, and Enclosed or Sealed...Observed no coved based board on the cook line, there was a handyman onsite working on replacing the baseboard in the back of the kitchen. Replace base board where missing.
Core-6-501.12, C: Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions.... Observed food spillage on the walls throughout the kitchen, deep clean the walls. Also observed debris on the floor of the bar under the bar equipment towards the back wall. This area may need to be vacuumed to clear the area up easier. This is a 2nd repeat violation.

Comments:
Core-6-303.11, C: Intensity-Lighting... observed low lighting in the server expo area where there is a prep table with garnishes, sauces, a soda fountain machine and ice machine. A flashlight had to be used to see inside the prep cooler. At least 540 lux (50 foot candles) at a surface where a food employee is working with food or working with utensils or equipment such as knives, slicers, grinders, or saws where employee safety is a factor. Install a brighter and or more lighting in this area.
Core-6-501.14, C: Cleaning Ventilation Systems, Nuisance and Discharge Prohibition... Observed the hood above the cooking station had oil and grease built up, the fire suppression system was covered in grease as well. Deep clean the hood (not just the vents).

Manager has an expired CFM certificate posted at the office, but showed me their email from ServSafe stating they had recently passed their exam. Please print the certificate and keep onsite for next inspection.
